I know what it feels like to have no structure because I lived it early.
I was homeless on the streets of Sydney as a kid.
At 14, after two years without real stability, I was taken from my mother by DOCS and placed back into my grandparents’ care.
They did not rebuild me with motivation.
They gave me rules. Routine. Chores. Work ethic. Tough love.
I worked in the local butcher shop. I helped around the property. I learned that if you want a different life, you have to invest in the man you are becoming.
From there, I built.
FIFO. Rope access. Leadership. Managing work at a standard that earned ExxonMobil’s Ruby Award. Mentoring men in PNG. Coaching American football at the national level. Building property, businesses, and a life that looked strong on paper.
But I also know what it feels like to be winning externally and drifting privately.
Heavy drinking. Money leaks. No real financial structure. Emotional shutdown. Carrying everything quietly because no one knew what was really going on.
That is why Legacy Lock-In exists.
Not because I read a book about discipline.
Because I know what happens when a man has pressure, but no structure.
And I know what changes when he finally has a standard to stand on.
